General Guidelines for Grants

All grants are made without attribution; publicity of any kind is never sought. The recipient must be a member of the Society or a surviving spouse or dependent. Chapter members should contact local chapter leaders to begin the process. Members not affiliated with an existing chapter may apply for aid by contacting the Society’s Executive Director by email at qcentury1923@gmail.com.

All grants are in the form of a check to the individual or a creditor. Grants are not made in the form of cash.

The need for assistance must be documented and the request must be timely. Grants must be for documented critical needs; for example, food, clothing, shelter, medical or other needs as approved by the Society. Grants cover only “reasonable and customary” expenses.

Grants may not be used to assist an individual who is experiencing financial difficulties due to poor financial management or judgment or negligence. Examples would include credit card debt resulting from such actions.

The Society places a monetary limit on the amount a member or surviving spouse or dependent may receive.
